How to remove and replace the rear coil springs on a Peugeot 307 from years 2001 to 2008. The 16mm lock nuts on the lower shock mounting bolts should be renewed when refitting the springs. Torque the new lower shock mounting nuts to 57 Newton Meters (42 Foot Pounds). If you are replacing the shock absorber, tighten the upper shock mounting bolts to 62 Newton Meters (46 Foot Pounds).
