Want to trade boxy, washy overhead sounds for bright, clear, focused cymbals? Here's how to do it!

I'm gonna take a wild guess here and say that no matter how much you try, you pretty much never get a good drum kit sound out of your overheads alone.
I'm also gonna guess that most of the time you don't even want the sound of the kit in your overheads... You just want to control the level of the cymbals!

This approach is NOT about getting a "nice, natural full-kit drum sound" from your overheads.
Instead, you can use this method to remove the kick/snare/toms from the overheads...
