Surfing, Kambala, & Crazy People: 1 Month in Mulki, Karnataka (1/3)

Hey everyone, welcome back!

This vlog might have an unusual name, "This is Mulki," but hear me out: it perfectly captures my month-long experience in this charming town near Mangalore, Karnataka. Forget just a town, Mulki is a haven for adrenaline seekers!

Initially, I set my sights on paragliding. After planning and contacting schools, luck wasn't on my side. But while researching, I stumbled upon surfing! With renewed hope, I reached out to surf schools. Some responded, some ghosted, but I persevered.

One fateful day, @aquaticindicasurfschool4949 , Mulki, called. The catch? Be there by December 24th. This spur-of-the-moment decision, with barely any knowledge about Mulki or the school, led me to board a train and embark on an amazing adventure.

Did you know Mulki boasts the origins of Indian surfing? I practically stumbled upon the country's first few surf schools! This vlog marks the beginning of my surfing journey and an introduction to the treasures Mulki holds. It's not just about surfing - expect stand-up paddling, kayaking, stunning beaches, and unforgettable encounters with some truly vibrant people.

And guess what? On my very first day, I witnessed Kambala, a traditional buffalo race! Can you imagine the excitement?
