Rest in peace, Dshamilja.
This female snow leopard had been rescued from poachers in Central Asia after sustaining severe injuries in a snare. Conservationists managed to save her, and she eventually came to Zoo Zürich, where she gave birth to and raised several cubs, contributing to the EAZA snow leopard breeding program. At age 19, she has passed away earlier this month.
