On 14 July 2021, a torrential monsoon storm produced a debris flow that fell ~ 400 feet to Tatahatso Beach, Colorado River, Grand Canyon, Arizona. A group of whitewater rafters rapidly evacuated the beach as they were pelted by rock, mud, and rain, under conditions of extremely low visibility. Several people were seriously injured and there was one fatality. The entire party was evacuated to the South Rim by Grand Canyon National Park rangers on 15 July. Times are reported in MST | PDT.
