There are lots of advantages and disadvantages to drawing figures digitally. This video has a load of tips an insights to help you succeed with it. I'm using using Procreate on an iPad, though the ideas should apply to digital drawing generally.

You can of course also draw figures well with other brushes. One simple option in Procreate is to use the 6B pencil brush that comes with Procreate, but take off the maximum size limitation they put on it.
