UL LLC conducted a fire burn demonstration of a rack storage fire in their test and research facility located in Northbrook, IL, in June 2009. Storage racks were loaded with palettes and cardboard boxes full of paper cups, and ignited. Attendees of the NFPA Conference & Expo® that year were in the audience while UL conducted the fire burn.
