Boomerang Paper Airplane Glider Comes Back To You Every Time | Home Run Boomerang

Описание к видео Boomerang Paper Airplane Glider Comes Back To You Every Time | Home Run Boomerang

My boys and I spent all weekend playing with the Home Run boomerang paper airplane glider! Instead of throwing a paper airplane and then walking to pick it up, the Home Run flies right back to you every single time. Once I got the hang of throwing it around and around, I challenged myself to do 10, 20, and then 30 throws and catches consecutively. The boys and I had a blast with the Home Run.

What is so intriguing about boomerang paper airplanes is that you need to throw it correctly. Did you ever make a boomerang paper airplane from an online tutorial and it didn't work? As with the Home Run, you need to throw it sideways or at a slight angle. Watch this video closely and pay attention to how I'm throwing the paper airplane.

PAPER
This video was taken using A4 80g printing paper and is tested to work with A4 70g paper as well.
*Should work with 8.5x11in paper, not tested.

FOLDING / FLYING TIPS
1. Make sure each fold is perfectly aligned. If you have not seen my video on making the perfect paper airplane fold, you need to check this out first: https://www.coolpaperairplanes.com/ma...
2. Use something hard, like a ruler, to crease each fold. The flatter the paper airplane, the better it will perform.
3. Unlike straight flying paper planes, do not angle the wings upwards. You want the wings to be perpendicular to the fuselage. You can curl up the side slightly if you'd like.
4. The stabilizers are NOT parallel to the fuselage, they are folded at a slight slant!
5. Use scotch tape to tape the wings together at the nose (as per the video).

TROUBLESHOOTING
1. The paper plane shoots downwards and crashes. This should not happen with this boomerang paper airplane because the back end of the wings are purposely rolled/creased upwards.

2. The paper plane shoots upwards and stalls. This is perfectly normal and happens if you throw the Home Run straight like a normal paper airplane. Boomerangs should be at an angle or sideways. Watch the beginning or end of the video and watch closely as to how this paper airplane should be thrown.

3. The paper plane doesn't circle as nicely anymore. Make all the creases again.

4. It still doesn't fly well. Any bumps or nicks on the paper will affect how your paper plane flies. Make sure you're using a brand new piece of paper and try folding it again.

FINAL WORDS
I hope you are enjoying the Home Run Boomerang! Again, the boys and I had lots of fun first figuring out how to consistently throw and catch the paper airplane. Eventually we started making small changes to make the paper plane fly in bigger and smaller circles. Let me know how your boomerang turned out by commenting below!
