Competition Law and Digital Markets explained in 7 minutes

Описание к видео Competition Law and Digital Markets explained in 7 minutes

The development of the digital economy has had a huge effect on how firms compete, how consumers behave and how markets work. At the same time, the emergence of some powerful platforms, the significance of data as well as the use of algorithms have given rise to strong competition concerns, such as possible abuse of dominance or collusion. Renato Ferrandi (Director of International and EU Affairs, Italian Competition Authority) and Lefkothea Nteka (Partner, Lambadarios Law Firm) explore these topics in this second video released for judges, building on the discussions of the Competition Lab for Judges held by the OECD-GVH Regional Centre for Competition in Budapest in May 2022 with the financial support of the European Union.

The series “Key competition topics explained in few minutes” is a training initiative by the OECD-GVH Regional Centre for Competition in Budapest, which builds on the discussion at its seminars to create short, focused videos on key competition notions.
