Seal Covered In Illegal Gill Net

Naude and the OCN team are patrolling at Cape Cross. Naude has spotted an entangled seal with a bad cut around its neck. While running towards the seals for the rescue, Naude spots another entangled seal with gill net all over it. He asks Denzil to secure it while he grabs and rescues his entangled seal with Tony's help. The youngster is still strong, a good sign for his survival! Luckily it is a quick release and they can move on to help Denzil with the gill net seal. The seal is entangled all over the back, neck and face.The team have to be focused to keep the seal as calm as possible. They start with getting it in the right position in the net. The gill net needs to be cut in several spots to remove it safely and the brave seal is free at last. 🦭
