Espantoso error cometido por padre, Halcón de cola roja. El metraje contiene imágenes delicadas

Ángel es una hembra de Halcón de cola roja (Buteo jamaicensis) extraordinariamente bella por su leucismo, es una particularidad genética debida a un gen recesivo, que da un color blanco a la piel, pelaje o plumaje. Este gen influye en el proceso de formación de la melanina.Es muy difícil para la misma especie reconocer a un animal leucistico como él mismo, aparearse y luego criar con éxito. Es sumamente rara la unión de esta pareja
Ángel y Tom se conocieron en 2022, no tuvieron familia, el macho aún era un subadulto. Ángel tiene 7 años, en 2021 crió a 2 pollitos con éxito, se ignora qué ocurrió con su anterior pareja. Tom tiene 3 años, es un padre primerizo, tal vez por ello, su instinto paterno no estaba del todo desarrollado. Cuando vio al pollito recién nacido no lo reconoció, era la primera vez que veía algo así, probablemente lo confundió con un ratón, o algo similar, le pateó repetidamente hasta causarle la muerte. Un comportamiento paterno inusual que nunca había observado, un suceso infinitamente triste .
Al día de hoy, el comportamiento de Tom como padre es muy bueno, aportando alimento y protegiendo a su familia. Cometió un gravísimo error que creo nunca olvidará
