In addition to the extra oomph, the Cherokee is the only truly off-road capable compact crossover in America. Each of Jeep's three AWD systems is more capable than the competition. The basic system offers a full center lock and user controllable software, the next level adds the segment's only 2-speed transfer case and the Trailhawk model tosses in a rear locking differential for the maximum in traction.
