Sen. Robert Ortt, the New York State Republican leader described the Gaza War protesters at Columbia University and The City College of New York, as well as those on other US college campuses as "spoiled brats" and "troublemakers," praising the NYPD arrests of 282 protesters and demonstrators.

Video from Tuesday showed protesters barricading entrances to the building, then hanging a Palestinian flag out a window, as part of the Gaza War protests against the Israel-Hamas war taking place on US college campuses nationwide.

The protesters took over Hamilton Hall nearly 12 hours after Monday's 2PM deadline for those demonstrators to leave an encampment of around 120 tents or face suspension.

NYPD officers entered Hamilton Hall on Tuesday night, arresting those protesters barricaded inside the building.

A class-action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of Jewish students alleging Columbia University failed to maintain a safe learning environment.
