Silky Smooth Sound With the HiBy R6 Pro II: Latest Android 12 Hi-Res Audio Player

HiBy has recently come out with the all-new R6 Pro II. This beautifully built device houses a flagship-grade DAC configuration featuring AK4191EQ+Dual AK4499EX DAC chips. It also features switchable Class A/AB amplification modes as well. I got my hands on the R6 Pro II courtesy of a review tour organised in my country by the brand themselves.

The device is very well-built, it looks stunning in the Purple Color. When it comes to sound, it has the signature AKM in-house sound, smooth, organic, and natural in their own way. The instruments and vocals have a full-bodied sound with nicely rounded notes. It has a wide soundstage that I personally enjoyed a lot. It is airy and sounds big.

Talking about the cons for the R6 Pro II, I would say the player has 3 major cons.
Firstly, the battery life is a bit of a bummer. It lasts for max 5 hours on a single charge(Class A AMP, 4.4mm Output, High-Gain).
Secondly, the output power is kind of limited, it is sufficient for IEMs including high-power requiring ones(like Audeze Euclid and Kinera Nanna 2.1), but can't drive headphones properly.
Thirdly, I don't notice any sonic difference between Class A and AB modes.

These are probably the only cons that one might notice on the DAP. As for experience, it is a beautiful sounding DAP that literally envelops you with its amazing sound. It has sheer resolution, excellent clarity, and a crystal clear output!!
