What does it mean to be an adult? Tabitha Dell’Angelo challenges the idea that play is reserved for children. She encourages all of us to engage in play as a way to enhance our overall well being and embrace playfulness throughout our lives.
Dr. Tabitha Dell’Angelo received a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Development from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, USA and a B.S. in Special Education from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, USA. She has published in a wide variety of books and journals on topics ranging from educational policy, teacher retention, and arts based strategies and research. For many years, she has incorporated play into learning via improvisational acting to support community education programs, bullying prevention, social skills, and adult learners. As a teacher by profession and an artist at heart, she has always been an advocate for supporting positive coping skills, social emotional wellness, and building joyful learning spaces through creativity and play.
