Metal Slug 4: The Final Slug（メタルスラッグ4：最後のスラッグ） is a remake of the original Metal Slug 4, the difficulty is a huge boost from the original game with most of the enemies' position changed to give the player a disadvantage; all the bosses have been repositioned on each level as well, with additional new enemies supporting the bosses to give the players a brand new experience like never before! The game also recycled the unique mechanic from Metal Slug 6 and Metal Slug 7/XX - Weapon Stock System, Two gun power-ups can now be carried at the same time. Players can switch between the two weapons, or simply put them both away in favor of the default weapon.

Metal Slug 4 (メタルスラッグ4) is a run and gun video game for the Neo-Geo console/arcade platform created by SNK. It was released in 2002 for the MVS arcade platform and is the fourth game in the main Metal Slug series.
