A 1800's Retreat Farmhouse Interior That Blends Vintage And Vibrant Color Scheme

For the initial phase of renovating an early 1800s farmhouse on Long Island, the designer focus was on restoring the architectural authenticity and character of this home. While preserving key elements, much of the renovation involved reconfiguring room layouts and reintroducing architectural features that had been removed.

Designed as a weekend and summer retreat for a young family, the interior was infused with a vibrant color scheme suitable for all seasons. Luxurious upholstered furniture invited relaxation, while a carefully curated selection of non-precious antiques and vintage pieces added a cozy touch, encouraging moments of leisure and enjoyment.
