There is a lot to consider when walking with crampons and an ice axe. As a general rule: Walk in small steps and with legs apart to avoid snagging the crampon on your pant legs. On moderately steep terrain you should use the flat-foot technique; on steep terrain you should use the front-pointing technique. Learn the difference in the video!
