We have finally started the little details on the outside exterior of the fire station. This Ghostbusters toy playset has interior & furniture inspired from the classic 80's toys, Ghostbusters movies and animated cartoon series. This review video is focused on making of the Ghostbusters playhouse firehouse façade exterior features like trim, faux brick, molding, windows, and doors. It's not a Halloween façade for a haunted house walkthrough maze but it's the Spook Central Ghostbusters headquarters. We are drawing inspiration for the design of this extreme DIY playhouse off the Ghostbusters filming locations and many Ghostbusters toys. The exterior of the Firehouse building in New York, Hook & Ladder Company 8 and the interior of the Fire Station No. 23 in Los Angeles. The fire stations have been a filming location for several other shows and movies but as the home base for the Ghostbusters. What better fire station could you model from for a kids playhouse than the real thing. We also got a few ideas from looking over our sons Ghostbusters firehouse Playmobil set as well as the LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters, and Kenner classic version images online. Other inspirations for ideas came from the Ghostbusters video game and The Real Ghostbusters animated TV series cartoon. We will be posting a series of videos of all the construction updates and details of how we made this playhouse.
