For my wonderful mum’s birthday last year I booked us tickets on the Northern Belle a luxury train that took us from York via Carnforth where we were pulled by a steam engine and then to Carlisle where we could get off the train and look at the engine! Then back to York, there was breakfast, lunch and dinner with some of the best food I’d ever eaten, the most wonderful staff and live music!
All in all a BRILLIANT day of luxury and beautiful sights, I couldn’t recommend it more!
