After two full weeks of spring practice for the Miami Hurricanes, trends are emerging and progress is being made in key position battles. Which Miami players could use a big third week? Reese Poffenbarger and Jacurri Brown are in a battle for quarterback two, behind Cam Ward. Cornerbacks like Damari Brown, Robert Stafford and Demetrius Freeney are competing for playing time with Ja’Dais Richard, who is having an excellent spring so far. Can young defensive tackles like Ahmad Moten and Joshua Horton continue to progress? Can upper-classmen receivers like Michael Redding III and Shemar Kirk stay above young stars like Ray Ray Joseph, Joshisa Trader and Ny Carr in the pecking order?
