This video will explain about GMT+5:30 , UTC, IST and time zones of the world. GMT plus 5:30 is the time zone of India. Whenever we talk about time in India in reference to the international time then we denote it as gmt+5:30 because india's central meridian is 5 hours and 30 minutes ahead of the prime meridian which passes through the Greenwich village of London and that is why gmt is calles greenwich mean time. in present time GMT is called as UTC i.e. universal time code or coordinated universal time. GMT+5:30 is also called local time of India or Indian Standard Time or IST.
