BYD Atto 3 On Genting - Road Handling and Hill Climb Test | YS Khong Driving.

We have driven the Atto 3 before, during the official test drive session organized by BYD for the media, but of course, we must take it up our favorite mountain, just to check out its true handling and power.

Bearing in mind that it is a SUV, and thus has a higher ride height than a normal sedan, I must say the Atto 3 can slug it out with some of the continental cars that happened to be on the same course.

We also learned something during this drive - when the battery power drops to below 50 percent, the management system appears to take over and reduce the power to the drive system - it must be to save on the remaining power - so it will restrict the power going to drive the vehicle - thus you will see the Atto 3 being passed by one of the two continental turbocharged cars that were trailing behind for the most part.
